Welcome
The University of Calgary Petroleum & Energy Society, formerly known as the University of Calgary Petroleum Club, is a non-profit organization run by students, with a fundamental purpose to create an informed, knowledgeable and connected workforce in the oil and gas industry. Our mission is to equip students with a solid foundation of knowledge, experience and networks so that they may have a competitive edge when entering the oil and gas industry and meet industry's demand for a skilled new workforce. We do this by organizing educational events, field trips, technical lectures and tours and seek to engage with industry professionals for mentorship and potential networking.
For the 2011/12 academic year, we will plan to have approximately 2500 associate, and approximately 250 full time members. We also hope to increase our membership further by reaching out to students in other faculties.
