David is in his final year of Masters in Petroleum Engineering (MEng) Program. As part of his professional development, he has worked both as a Lab Scientist / Operations Engineering Intern, and Petroleum Engineer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) and White Page International Concept Nigeria (WPIC) Ltd. respectively, and as such he has a great experiential understanding of the dynamics between academia and industry. Over the past years, David has been an active member and volunteer with PES and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He has been involved in a lot of activities, such as Industry Mixers, Mentorship, SPE's Fracking with Jello, Global Petroleum Show, and most recently, he became a member of both SPE Canada's Young Member Engagement Committee (YMEC) and Educational Support Team. He was also the Vice President and PetroBowl Team Lead of his SPE Student Chapter during his undergrad years in Ghana. As the current Graduate Student Representative, David hopes to foster more participation and team work between both graduate and undergraduate students, in order to bring together a community of people vastly experienced and passionate about education with a drive to inspire global transformation in the oil industry and beyond. In his spare time, David enjoys playing football, canoeing, singing, volunteering and hanging out with friends.
