Mentorship Advisor
Jazzpin-Cross Nwosu
Jazzpin-Cross Nwosu has a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Afe Babalola University in Nigeria and is currently a second-year chemical engineering master's student at the University of Calgary. As Mentorship Advisor, he looks forward to organizing educational events, mentorship programs, field trips, technical lectures and tours, and networking events to engage students with industry professionals. He recognizes the need for this generation of engineers to be involved in the energy transition and believes PES will provide students with the necessary skills and connections to do so. Jazzpin-Cross has interned at Nigeria's national oil company, where he got firsthand experience of the inner workings of the oil and gas industry. He is also the Vice President, MEng program for SSC-GSC (Schulich School of Engineering - Graduate Students' Consortium) and currently volunteers with SPE Canada and the NISS (Newcomers’ and International Students’ Subcommittee) under GSA (Graduate Students’ Association) at the University of Calgary. Outside of school, Jazzpin-Cross enjoys playing and watching soccer, cooking, and travelling.
