Geragg is an MSc student majoring in Petroleum Engineering with a gas engineering specialization. He brings 15 years of experience in the industry in oil and gas reservoirs in south and central America. He has worked in field characterization areas, reservoirs simulation, field development and EOR studies in heavy and extra heavy oil. He has been an active volunteer at SPE International. Since 2011 he has collaborated with SPE International in the North and South America Region. In the past, he was part of the board in the SPE Calgary and SPE Western Venezuela Petroleum sections. Currently, his master’s research is related to geothermal energy to evaluate heat transfer in porous media. As Director of Media and Membership, he plans to create a strategy to increase PES membership by making students aware of the importance of all engineering offered at the University of Calgary. So, the students will know the importance of each career in the energy transition at a global level. Also, he will be updating the PES website. Outside of school, Geragg enjoys to travel and watch movies with his family.
